NPF Programs provide participants with a culturally responsive and socially practical educational experience that prepares them to use film and storytelling as a tool for social justice.

Our Foundation was created to empower youth of African descent through the cinematic arts.  It offers mentoring and cultural enrichment as well as hands-on learning while introducing the students to a network of like-minded peers during the summer institute and HBCU Storytellers Project.  In these programs students attend workshops and courses in different areas of filmmaking such as writing, directing, producing, cinematography and complete various film projects ranging from short films to documentaries.
